Chef Jeff Vigilla in another exciting episode of CookingHawaiingStyle shows Lanai Tabura how to cook healthier family recipe Roasted Kualoa Ranch Farm Raised Tilapia With Oyster Sauce Tulip & Baby Bok Choy. Tilapia is one of those versatile dishes that makes for a healthy and quick dish.
2 tilapia fillets, skin removed
2 tsp olive oil
2 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
2 cloves garlic, sliced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/2 cup Tulip luncheon meat, sliced thin
1/4 cup onion, sliced
1 cup baby bok choy
1 tablespoon Chinese shaoshing wine
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Pat dry the Tilapia Fillets, Season with the remaining ingredients. Place fish onto a sheet pan. Roast in oven at 450 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Remove to a serving platter and top with the Oyster Sauce Sautéed Tulip & Bok Choy.
Add the oil to a sauté pan over medium high heat. Add the sliced Tulip luncheon meat and sauté until golden brown then remove from pan. In the same pan, add the onions & baby bok choy and cook for 30 seconds, splash with the Shaoshing wine and flame. Add the oyster sauce, sesame oil and white pepper. Finally add back the tulip and sauté for 30 seconds and serve over the roasted Tilapia fillets.
