Looking for some good Italian food Il Lupino in the Royal Hawaiian Center can be found on the bottom floor right next to the stage at the Royal Grove. They have a wide variety of wines, a nice bar and some great Italian food. Some of their signature Italian dishes incorporate local ingredients.

Grammy award winner and 5 time Na Hoku Hanohano award winner Kawika Kahiapo joined us in the kitchen from the Four Seasons Resort Ko Olina making us one of his favorites, kalo poke. Kalo or taro is so versatile and I think most people only think of using it one or two ways.

Ddukgalbi or Korean style beef patties, a popular dish in Hawaii brought over by Korean immigrants.  Korean food has always been a part of Hawaii cuisine and Ddukgalbi is one of my favorites.  You can make this "jun" style by dipping in egg and flour and frying patties in a frying pan.
