This Hamburger Watercress is an easy throw-together meal that is delicious and comforting!
1lb Ground Beef
2-3 cloves garlic crushed
Oil for cooking
2 bunches watercress
1/4 cup Aloha shoyu *substitute tamari for gluten-free
1 cup water
salt/pepper to taste if needed
In a pot, heat oil and garlic until aromatic, being sure not to burn garlic. Add ground beef and brown. Remove from heat and drain fat. Return to heat and add shoyu. Allow to simmer for 5 minutes. Cut watercress separating the stem portion from the leafy portion. Add water and watercress stems and cook 5 minutes covered. Add watercress leaves, cover and remove from heat. Allow to site for 5 minutes allowing the heat in the pot to complete the cooking process.
