1 c. chicken broth

2 TB cornstarch

1 TB sugar

1 TB Aloha shoyu

1/2 tsp. salt

1 lb. char siu or lup cheong (Chinese) sausage, diced

3 stalks green onion, chopped

2 tubes (7.5 oz.) buttermilk biscuits

 

 


Cooking Process:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine broth, cornstarch, sugar, soy sauce and salt; bring to a boil. Simmer 1 minute, until thickened. Remove from heat, add char siu and onions. Place 1 tablespoon of filling in the middle of each biscuit and pinch to close. Place seam side down on baking sheet, bake for 12-15 minutes, until browned. Variation: Substitute char siu with lup cheong sausage, vienna sausage or spam. If using spam, omit salt.

how to serve:

Serve with your favorite mustard soy sauce mixture.
