

Microwave Gau
Now this Gau only available during Chinese New Year’s treat can be made in a flash in your microwave oven. Gooey and delicious.

Prep Time: 5 minutes | Cook Time: 20 minutes | Ready In: 25 minutes
1 lb. wong tong (Chinese block brown sugar)
1 lb. mochiko (sweet glutinous flour)
2 3/4 c. water
1/4 c. vegetable oil
2 tsp. sesame seeds, toasted
Cooking Process:
In a saucepan over medium heat; warm sugar and water; stirring until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat; cool. Transfer mixture into a mixing bowl; stir in flour. Add oil; mixing until smooth. Transfer mixture into a microwavable bowl. Microwave on High setting for 6 minutes, 6 minutes on 75% and 6 minutes on 50%. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Cool before slicing.
