Teriyaki Beef Asparagus Rollups
This is the local take on proscuito wrapped asparagus... If you ask me, I would take teriyaki beef anytime over proscuito! I also like to get paper thin teriyaki and the really thin asparagus as they make really nice finger foods.
1.5 - 2lbs Sirloin Steaks or your favorite cut (thinly sliced)**
1/2 cup Soy Sauce
1/2 cup Brown Sugar
1-2 Cloves Garlic
Optional: ginger, mirin, sesame oil, sesame seeds, green onion...whatever makes you happy
Roll meat around asparagus and green onion. Have them hanging out a bit on the ends.
Stick them together with a wet toothpick. Baste the beef rolls with the teriyaki sauce.
Place onto the grill and continue to baste while cooking.
**Cook 3 minutes on each side - be sure not to overcook to avoid toughness
