½ lb. medium shrimp, peeled, deveined

½-inch ginger, minced

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tsp. + 2 tsp. vegetable oil

1 c. Chinese peas,

1 c. broccoli florets

4 large dried shiitake mushrooms, soaked, stems removed, quartered, liquid reserved

2 small carrots, peeled, thinly sliced


1 c. shiitake mushroom liquid

3 TB Aloha shoyu

3 TB oyster sauce

2 TB cornstarch

1 tsp. salt

1 tsp. sugar

Cooking Process:

In a small mixing bowl; combine sauce ingredients, set aside. In a skillet or wok over medium high heat; stir fry shrimp, ginger and garlic in oil until shrimp turns pink. Remove immediately; set aside. Into skillet or wok; add remaining oil. Stir fry vegetables for 2-3 minutes until crisp tender. Return shrimp to skillet with sauce mixture. Cook until slightly thickened.  Optional to server over pan fried noodles. Serves 4-6.
