Jalna’s Teriyaki Spam & Green Beans
No time to cook ? Nothing planned ? Here is the perfectly simple meal that the entire family will love. Feel free to substitute any vegetable in place of the green beans (broccoli, zucchini, eggplant, round onions, bitter melon, carrots)
1 (12 oz.) can spam, small cubes
3 tsp. vegetable oil
1 ½ lbs. green beans, trimmed, 2-inch slices
Cook 3 to 5 minutes on medium heat.
1/2 c. Aloha shoyu (click to order)
¼ c. brown sugar
2 TB agave nectar
2 clove garlic, crushed
Freshly ground black pepper
In a skillet over medium heat; sauté spam in oil. Add green beans and oyster sauce. Cook 3-4 minutes. In a mixing bowl; combine sauce ingredients. Pour sauce into skillet and continue cooking 3-4 minutes. Serve with lots of hot steamed rice. Serves 3-4.
