Corned Beef & Onions
I know you must be wondering why I put a recipe in for corned beef and onions when it is so easy to make. I put this recipe up more as a reminder of how good and how simple food was when we were growing up. We would take a can of Libby's corned beef and stretch it with cabbage or onions and serve with rice for a very hearty meal. Till today I still enjoy corned beef and onions over rice.
1 Can Libby's Corned Beef
1 Onion, sliced into rings or slivers
Aloha shoyu to taste
* Filipino style, add 1 small can tomato sauce, Hawaiian style add long rice and water
Heat 1 teaspoon oil in frying pan, saute onions, add corned beef and shoyu to taste. Serve over hot rice!!
