Hajibaba’s Thai Peanut Dressing

A favorite recipe from yet another popular eatery come and gone. Spicy and tangy; a great dressing with mixed greens or on a noodle salad.

US Metric

1/4 c. rice wine vinegar

2 TB plum sauce

1 TB hoisin sauce

1 TB sweet chilies, chopped

1 TB serrano chilies, chopped

1 TB each chopped fresh cilantro, mint, basil

3/4 c. peanut oil

1/2 TB sesame seed oil

1/2 c. peanuts, chopped

pinch salt, white pepper


how to serve:

In a mixing bowl, combine vinegar, plum sauce, hoisin sauce, chilies, cilantro, mint and basil. Add peanut oil and sesame seed oil slowly, until well blended. Add peanuts, salt and pepper. Makes 1 1/2 cups.
