Tail Gate Tuna Buns
It’s quite known that locals here love Tail Gates. Any opportunity we have, perhaps since we don’t have a professional team here. I first had this dish at a pre Pro Bowl Tail Gate Party. I wasn’t convinced at first, but soon became a big fan!
4 (6 oz.) cans tuna, drained
3 ( 10.5 oz.) cans cream of mushroom soup
1 small red onion, minced
¼ c. green bell pepper, seeded, minced
¼ c. dill pickles, minced
1 c. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
8-14 hamburger buns*
butter, softened, as needed

In a mixing bowl; combine all ingredients well. Lightly butter hamburger bun tops and bottoms. Divide mixture as desired among buns; wrap tightly in aluminum foil. Place on heated grill 10-15 minutes until heated through. Variation: Bake in 450 degree oven 30 minutes. Serves 4-7* dependant on bun size.
