Hawaii-Style Corned Beef & Cabbage
Sometimes the best meals are the simplest..this is the type of meal that my grandmother would make which originated as a necessity to stretch a meal, but we still eat till today because its simply delicious! This meal can be made with so many variations including adding additional vegetables or onions, you can cook it with a shoyu base or even add a can of tomato sauce..whatever sounds good to you.
- 1 Can Libby's (or your favorite canned corned beef)
- 1 Large Cabbaged chopped
- 1 Onion
- salt/pepper to taste
- Aloha shoyu to taste
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1/4 cup water

Heat oil in medium sized pot, add onions and cook until opaque. Add corned beef and cover with cabbage and water. Cook covered for 15 minutes stirring occassonally ensuring that there is enough liquid to create steam but not too much water. When cabbage is nice and tender, add salt/pepper, shoyu and serve!
