US Metric

2 tsp. vegetable oil

1 small onion, minced

2 cloves garlic, grated

1 small carrot, peeled, grated

6 string beans, thinly sliced

1 lb. ground beef

½ (20 oz.) block tofu, drained well

2 large eggs, beaten

1 tsp. Aloha shoyu

1 tsp. oyster sauce

1 tsp. garlic salt

½ tsp. freshly ground black pepper

Sauce:

1 c. beef broth

2 TB Aloha shoyu

2 tsp. oyster sauce

Pinch salt

1 TB cornstarch


Cooking Process:

In a skillet over medium heat; sauté onion, garlic, carrot and green beans for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and place in a mixing bowl to cool. When mixture has cooled; add beef with remaining ingredients well. Shape into desired shape patties. In a skillet over medium heat; brown on both sides. Stir in sauce ingredients. Stirring until patties are well coated and sauce is slightly thickened. Serves 3-4.
