Lobster tatsutaage or deep fried lobster recipe...I always feel guilty dipping lobster meat in batter and frying it... but it tastes amazing!! Served as an appetizer or main entree...
- 1 Lobster, shells removed
- 2 tablespoons Aloha Aloha shoyu soy sauce
- 2 tablespoon mirin
- 2 tablespoons sake
- 1/2 cup potato starch (katakuriko)
- oil for deep frying
(Measurements are easily adjusted to quantity being made)
To make this lobster tatsutaage recipe, mix equal parts of shoyu, mirin and sake to make marinade. Cut lobster into bite size pieces. Marinate lobster for three minutes. Drain and coat with potato starch. Deep fry at 350 degrees until reddish brown. (Lobster will create reddish brown instead of golden brown color)
