

Fried Shrimp Cakes
Fried Shrimp Cakes - Hungry for some Fish Patties, this recipe came about on a rainy day, too rainy to go to the market. Thank goodness for a full pantry and fridge !

Prep Time: 10 minutes | Cook Time: 10-15 minutes | Ready In: 20-25 minutes
1 lb. shrimp, peeled, deveined
2 stalks green onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, grated
1-inch ginger, peeled, grated
2 large eggs, beaten
½ c. all purpose flour
1 TB dry sherry
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
Vegetable oil, for frying
Cooking Process:
In a large skillet or deep fat fryer; warm oil. In a mixing bowl; combine all ingredients well. Drop by tablespoonfuls into oil. Deep fry until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Serves 6-8.
