Lomi Lomi Salmon Lettuce Wraps
This is a great way to serve fresh, healthy appetizers or if you are feeling a little indulgent... add kalua pork to the wraps for a heartier bite.
- 8 oz salt salmon, cut into bite-size pieces
- 4 tomatoes, chopped
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 bunch green onions, thinly sliced
- 1 Hawaiian chili pepper, smashed
- Hawaiian Salt to taste (if necessary)
- 1 head butter lettuce
In a large bowl, combine salmon, tomatoes, onion, green onion. Mix well. Refrigerate until chilled, at least 1 hour.
When ready to serve, break the lettuce into leaves, wash and dry. Arrange leaves on a platter and top with lomi salmon.
For something a little heartier, add shredded kalua pork to your wraps!
