ADOBO SHORT RIBS
Beef short ribs cooked Filipino adobo styl..better cook extra rice for this one!
- 8 lbs. beef short ribs, 2-inch pieces
- 2-3 c. water, as needed
- 1 1/2 c. white vinegar
- 1/2 c. Aloha shoyu
- 12 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 4 bay leaves
- 1 tsp. whole black peppercorns
- 1 tsp. freshly cracked black pepper
- 1 tsp. salt
In a large saucepan over medium heat, cover ribs with water and bring to a boil. Skim off scum from top of pot, drain all but 1 cup of water. Add remaining ingredients, return to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 1-2 hours until ribs are tender. Discard bay leaves. Serves 10-12.
