Char Siu Egg Rolls
A friend brought this over this past weekend and I just loved it and so easy to make.
- 3/4 pound char siu, sliced thin
- 1 can water chestnuts, slivered
- 1 small package coleslaw cut cabbage mix (usually has carrots etc)
- 1 package egg roll skins
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- salt/pepper to taste
- oil for frying
Once all items are sliced thinly, place in pan and saute with oyster sauce, salt, pepper for a few minutes to combine flavors. Do not over mix. If there is some sauce from the char siu, feel free to use some in the mixture for flavor, but be sure that mixuture isn't too wet.
Place 2-3 tablespoons of mixture in eggroll skin and wrap and seal edges with water or beaten egg. Cook in 350 degree oil until golden brown.
