Tony's Barbecue Chicken
If you want something that you can just put in a crock pot or oven or stove and let it go, this is the recipe for you! We used to eat this once or twice a month!
5 lbs. chicken thighs
1- 8 oz. can tomato sauce
1 cup sugar
1 cup Aloha shoyu
1 clove garlic
1/2 ginger root
Combine tomato sauce, sugar, shoyu, garlic & ginger.
Pour over chicken and cook 1.5 hours on stove, crock pot, or oven.
Check the chicken at 1 hour for done-ness, as cooking is determined on thickness of thighs.
Serve over shredded cabbage!
Over shredded cabbage, as a main dish. Put in a casserole dish and serve for dinner!
