Island Style Prime Rib Roast
Prime rib roast cooked Hawaiian style - shoyu, sesame oil, hawaiian salt & cracked pepper. With a fail-proof cooking method.
- 6lb Prime Rib Roast (boneless)
- Sesame Oil
- Aloha shoyu soy sauce
- Hawaiian Salt
- Fresh Cracked Pepper
Two hours before roasting, take prime rib out of refrigerator and allow to come to room temperature. Season roast by rubbing outside of entire roast with shoyu, then sesame oil, then hawaiian salt and pepper.
Fail-Proof Roasting Method:
Heat oven to 500 Degrees for 30 minutes. Place seasoned roast in shallow roasting pan with the fatty side facing up. Cook at 500 degrees for 5 minutes per pound. A 6 lb roast should be cooked uncovered for 30 minutes. At the end of the cooking period, simply turn off the oven and allow the heat in the oven to complete the cooking for 2 hours. Do Not Open The Oven. This method will produce a perfectly tender, juicy, medium rare roast.
Serve with creamed horseradish or try guava horseradish.
