Haupia yorkshire pudding - I love to take traditional dishes and hawaiian-ize them.  This is my attempt to do that using a traditional yorkshire pudding recipe.

Ingredients: Print   Add to cart
US Metric
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup coconut Milk
  • 2 eggs beaten

Cooking Process:

Heat oven to 450 degrees F. Use oil to treat muffin pan and preheat in oven. In a mixing bowl, mix the milk, flour, salt and eggs until incorporated. Let batter rest for 10 minutes. Spoon batter into wells of pan. Cook for 20 minutes or until golden brown on top.

Tips for the perfect yorkshire pudding: 

  • Use metal tins, not ceramic or glass.  This allows pudding to rise
  • Allow batter to rest before baking, up to 1 hour for optimal results
  • Use only 1 teaspoon of hot fat in muffin tins
  • Cook at high heat right away!!
