Easy Crispy Char Siu Pork

Crispy char siu pork - this is an extremely quick and easy recipe that will put dinner on the table in less than 30 minutes.  The combination of the crispy, salty pork tossed in sweet char siu sauce is absolutely delicious!

  • wondra flour (extra fine flour)
  • bottle char siu sauce
  • 4 pork shoulder steaks or pork chops
  • cilantro (chinese parsley)
  • salt & pepper
  • oil for frying

Cooking Process:

Heat oil to 350 degrees.  Gently pound/flatten pork steaks or pork chops witht the bottom of a heavy cup or glass.  Season with salt and pepper, roll in wondra flour and fry until extra crispy and golden brown.  Salt cooked pork steaks as soon as you remove from hot oil.  Drain on paper towel.  

Cut into strips and place into bowl.  Drizzle as much or as little char siu sauce as you prefer into bowl and toss crispy pieces of pork.  Add fresh sprigs of cilantro (chinese parsley) and toss.  Serve with hot rice!
