DD's Shoyu Mustard Sauce

A kicked up version of the standard sauce used as a familiar condiment with Chinese foods. You will want to keep this on hand. Very versatile, use it with Chinese dishes, as a dipping sauce for dumplings, as a sauce with your noodle soup dishes or with sashimi.

  • 1 1/2 TB Colman’s (or chinese mustard)
  • 1/4 c. Aloha shoyu
  • 1/2 c. rice wine vinegar
  • 3 TB mirin sake
  • 1 TB sesame seed oil
  • 1 TB chili garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp. fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 stalks green onion, chopped

Cooking Process:

In a mixing bowl; dissolve mustard in soy sauce. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
