Miso Ground Pork w/Mushrooms
Miso ground pork is delicious served over rice or for a low-carb option, serve in lettuce wraps!
- 1 lb. ground pork
- 4 Cloves of Garlic, finely minced
- 1 package fresh Mushrooms, sliced
- 2 Tablespoons Miso Paste
- 1 Tablespoon Mirin
- 1 Tablespoon Aloha shoyu
- 1 Teaspoon of Sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 Tablespoons Oil
Heat in a skillet on medium heat. Brown the garlic. Add ground pork brown on high heat for 2-3 minutes. Add in the sliced mushrooms and brown for another 1-2 minutes. Add water, miso, sugar, shoyu, mirin and bring to boil, then reduce heat to medium-low cover and simmer for 20-30 minutes stirring occasionally. Once the sauce is thickened, it is ready to serve!
