Baked Whole wheat Tortilla Chips

  • 8 whole wheat tortillas
  • Macadamia nut oil or cooking spray
  • Fine Hawaiian salt

  • Fat Free/Low Fat Shredded Vegan Cheese (optional)
  • Can Fat Free Refried Beans (I prefer Jalapeno flavored)
  • Low Fat Sour Cream
  • Fresh Avocado, diced
  • Fresh Tomato, diced
  • Can low sodium black beans

Cooking Process:

Heat oven to 375.  Cut tortilla strips into quarters or triangles.  Place tortilla strips on cookie sheet, lightly brush on macadamia nut oil or olive oil cooking spray.  Sprinkle with fine hawaiian salt and chili powder.  Bake for about 15 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

Layer in a bowl, cup or glass baking dish the refried beans, black beans, sour cream, cheese, avocados, tomatos.  Olives and green chilles are also great!
