Spam and Cabbage
I have made this dish numerous times over the years. I thought about what I could cook spam with and something that was quick, easy and yet tasty.
It's a great dish if you're a working mom and want something to make as a main dish without all the fuss and bother. A simple and delicious one pan or pot meal. All you need is rice!
- 1 can low sodium spam, cut into thin 2-3 inch slices
- 1/2 head cabbage, sliced
- 1/2 round onion, sliced
- 2-3 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1-2 Tbs. butter
Preheat pan on med. Slice spam, cabbage, onion and garlic.
Saute onion and garlic. Add spam and cook through. Add cabbage last, and add pepper to taste. Cover till cabbage is tender. Toss everything in pan or pot.
Serve over hot rice! So ONO!!!
