Simple Sushi Rice
Sushi is made with rice flavored with a vinegar bas sauce. This is a quick and easy recipe where everything goes in your rice cooker. Use for rolled maki sushi or hand rolls.
- 6 c. medium grain rice, rinse until water runs clear, drain
- 4 c. water
- 1 ½ c. rice wine vinegar
- ¾ c. sugar
- 6 TB sake
- 1 tsp. salt
In rice cooker; combine rice with remaining ingredients. Stir well to combine. Cook as directed. Allow to sit 5-7 minutes before opening cooker. Makes 12 cups.
