US Metric

2 lbs. pork butt, 1 ½-2-inch cubes
2 TB vegetable oil
Marinade:
1 c. sake ½ c. Aloha shoyu
½ c. brown sugar
½ c. honey
1 TB ginger, peeled, grated
1 tsp. chili garlic paste
½ tsp. fresh ground pepper
3 stalks green onion, chopped


Cooking Process:

In a mixing bowl; combine marinade ingredients. Marinate pork 1 hour. In a skillet over medium heat; brown pork in oil. Reserving marinade. Add reserved marinade to skillet. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cover. Simmer until no liquid remains about 35-40 minutes.

how to serve:
Serve with Chinese steamed buns or with lots of hot steamed rice. Serves 3-4.
