Delicately fried oysters tossed in an oyster sauce butter glaze - the perfect appetizer for oyster lovers!  This one will "Broke Da Mouth".

  • 1/2 cup wondra flour
  • 1 teaspoon corn meal
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 12-15 raw oysters
  • 1/2 block butter
  • 4 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Aloha shoyu soy sauce
  • oil for frying

Cooking Process:

Heat oil in pan or skillet. In a bowl, mix flour, salt, cornmeal.  Mix well.  Lightly season oysters with salt and pepper...  Toss oysters in flour and shake off excess flour.  Place oysters on paper towel and allow to sit for 5 minutes.  Flash fry the oysters for a few minutes, just enough to get the coating nice and crispy.  Do not overcook!  In a small saucepan, melt butter, add oyster sauce and shoyu.  Mix well.  Add crispy oysters into glaze and toss.  Plate and serve with chopped cilantro and chili pepper if desired.
