FRIED FISH BY SURFER ULU BOI NAPEAHI
Surfer Ulu Boi Napeahi is one of those great human beings that you want to meet. A local boy from the Big Island who started surfing at the age of 4. He never thought he would become a professional surfer but as he grew up his passion became clear. He grew up in the ocean and loved to surf but never thought the ocean would change his life in such a dramatic fashion.
If his name sounds familiar Ulu boi was bitten by a shark when he was 16 years old at Pohiki Bay. Witnesses say the shark was about 8 feet and it bit him by the back of his leg. Amidst this traumatic experience, his energy and spirit remains positive and now looks at life as a gift. It was great having him in the kitchen with us.
Method of preparation:
Cover fish with flour and salt
add oil to frying pan or wok
when oil is hot drop fish in to pan
cook until done
