Gordon Lum makes his popular Chinese look funn noodles with chicken - look funn is similar to chow fun but it comes in flat sheets and is cut into thin noodles.  The texture is a little more tender than chow fun noodles.

Gordon Lum comes from the family that created Lum's char siu sauce which is still sold worldwide in stores.  We met Gordon through Popo June Tong who was also a guest on our Cooking Hawaiian Style TV show.  Gordon's spare ribs with black bean sauce is made the old, traditional way with lots of love.

On my travels back to Hilo we were blessed with a similar salad and it got me going to create this version using green tea somen noodles. The green tea noodles adds depth in flavor and a different twist to your favorite and similar potluck creations.

I love chicken pot pies and I love the taste of green curry so I thought I would put the two together and came up with this recipe.  I used leftover rotisserie chicken for this recipe, but you can use fresh chicken...just cook it longer.  I keep it simple using a store-bought crust..you can make your own or even us...

Guava jam rolls, my favorite holiday treat.  It reminds me of Christmas morning buffets where all of our family would gather to open presents and eat our favorite holiday foods for breakfast!

Marinating chicken in coconut milk gives it a moist, tender, juicy result with a slight ginger-coconut flavor.  The chili glaze takes it to the next level.

Guava Cream Cheese Custard Rolls - It’s like a cream cheese danish with a touch of home.  Simple and fun to make, and much quicker since you don’t need to go to the trouble of making a yeast dough.

Nothing says 4th of July more than BBQ and nothing says BBQ more to me than pulled pork.  I provide a basic oven kalua pork recipe here, but I like to smoke a pork butt in the smoker overnight and use that or at the very least, I like to buy the Ono brand Kalua Pork from the store.
