Chili Rice, not to be confused with chili and rice.  This recipe is similar to Spanish rice as the rice is cooked in the chili sauce allowing the flavor of the chili to be absorbed into the rice.  Simply delicious!  I use turkey in my chili, but feel free to use beef with portuguese sausage if you desire!

I remember going to get manapua at the store and getting the sweet rice cake....there were usually 2 types, the one that you could peel the layers away and the one that was kind of spongy with the holes in it.  This recipe is for the one that is spongy and has the holes in it.
