2 small squares dashi kombu (thick dried kelp)

5 c. water

1 inch ginger, smashed

1/2 c. shaved bonito flakes

2 tsp. Aloha shoyu

dash MSG (optional)

Cooking Process:

In a large pot, bring kmnbu, ginger and water to a boil. Remove from heat and add remaining ingredients. Allow to sit for 15 minutes. Strain.
