Refreshing Japanese Dressing

I always love the vegetable dressing served in the Japanese restaurants. This dressing is good for salad as well as for seared fish and roast beef. I use this dressing for my ahi salad. For garlic lovers, add one (or  more) clove of grated garlic.

US Metric
  • 2 carrots (peeled and grated)
  • 1/4 onion (grated)
  • 1/2 cup vegitable oil or olive oil
  • 1/2 cup Aloha shoyu
  • 1/2 cup rice vinegar
  • 4 Tbsp sugar
  • 2 Tbsp mirin


Cooking Process:

Combine all the ingredients and blend well.  If you prefer using a blender or a food processor, grate the vegitables first, then add the remaining ingredients.

how to serve:

Serve on your salad, seared fish or roast beef.
