Hawaiian Style Baked Beans

Baked beans Hawaiian-style made with portuguese sausage, bacon and sweetened with a touch of pineapple juice.  Although the directions say to bake for 1 hour uncovered, I like to bake mine uncovered for 1 hour, then cover with foil, turn off oven and allow to sit for another 30 minutes with remaining heat.

  •  1 portuguese sausage, cubed
  • 1/2 pound bacon, sliced
  • 2 large cans pork and beans
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 cup catsup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons dark molasses
  • 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
  • 1 small can pineapple juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon vinegar
