4 lbs. chuck roast

2 TB vegetable oil

5 cloves garlic, crushed

2 bay leaves

12 whole cloves

2 large onions

1 (12 oz.) can favorite beer

3 TB Worcestershire sauce

Cooking Process:

Stud onions with whole cloves. Set aside. In a Dutch oven or large saucepot, brown meat on all sides in oil. Into saucepot, add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer 1 ½ hours until roast is tender. Slice for service. Serves 5-6.
