

Curry Meatballs
Similar to hamburger steak but with a rich, creamy curry sauce over rice!
Meatballs
- 1 Lb Hamburger
- 1 Egg
- 1/4 cup panko
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 finely chopped onion
Sauce
- 1/4 finely chopped onion
- 4 celery stalks finely chopped
- 1 cup half and half
- 1 beef bouillon cube
- 1 teaspoon curry powder (add more or less to your taste)
- 4 Tablespoons butter
- 1 Tablespoon flour
Combine hamburger,egg, panko, salt, pepper and onion in bowl. Mix well and form into meatballs. Heat skillet with 2 Tablespoons oil and cook meatballs for 15 minutes until browned on all sides. Remove meatballs from pan.
Add butter to pan and set heat to medium. Add onions and cook for 10 minutes or until opaque. Add beef bouillon cube to pan and smash into the butter/onion mixture until partially dissolved. Add flour and cook until the flour turns a dark reddish brown. Add half and half and curry powder to taste with whisk ensuring that all lumps are gone and sauce is nice and smooth. Add meatballs and any dripping back into the skillet and simmer for 10 minutes.
