This Pork Sinigang also known as Sinigang na Baboy, is a popular comfort sour soup in the Philippines. If there was one dish my mother could eat every day, it would be sinigang. It’s a mouthwatering dish!!

  • 2 Lbs of Pork Belly cut in 2 in. cubes
  • 1 Small radish cut in 2 in. small pieces
  • 1 Medium Onion sliced thinly
  • 1 Small tomato diced
  • 1 Eggplant cut diagonally
  • 1 Cup of Sitaw or long green beans cut in 2 in. length
  • 3 Cups of Kangkong or spinach
  • 1½ Packet of Knorr Sinigang Mix
  • Salt to taste
  • water to cover meat

Cooking Process:

In a large pot add water and bring to a boil. Next add pork, cover, and let it simmer for 10 minutes. Remove scum from the broth and then add onions, tomatoes and the sinigang mix and let cook for 60 minutes. Then add the Labanos (radish) cover, and let it simmer for another 10 minutes. Add eggplant, green beans and cook it for an additional 10 minutes. Finally add the spinach (Kangkong) and add salt if needed. Let it cook until meat is tender and vegetables are cooked.
