This Apple Lumpia is a dessert variation of a popular Filipino appetizer recipe.
1 (40 pc.) pkg. lumpia wrappers
2 (20 oz.) cans apple pie filling
1 ½ c. raisins
1 ½ tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
Vegetable oil, for frying
In a mixing bowl; combine pie filling, raisin, cinnamon and nutmeg. Keep lumpia wrappers covered with a damp towel while assembling lumpia. On work surface; place two tablespoons of filling along center of wrapper. Moisten edges to fold and seal lumpia. Keep rolled lumpia covered with a damp cloth until ready for frying. In a fryer or large skillet; deep fry lumpia until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Makes approximately 40.
