Miso Shoyu Pork
Miso Shoyu Pork is a favorite Food Truck dish I often prepare at home. Great smell will draw you in! Leftovers make a great sandwich!
5 lbs. pork butt, 2-3 inch cubes
3/4 c. white miso paste
1-inch piece ginger, peeled, crushed
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 cloves garlic, crushed
3/4 c. Aloha shoyu
garnish: chopped green onion
In a large saucepot; combine miso, sugar and soy sauce. Add ginger and garlic; mix well. Place pork into pot. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer 1-1 1/2 hours until cooked through and tender. Garnish with green onion.
