Bata Yaki Sauce
Classic japanese "Bata" (butter) Yaki sauce. Usually there are thin slices of beef and vegetables and the food is cooked on an electric skillet in butter. This sauce is for Bata Yaki!
- 1 cup Aloha shoyu
- 1/2 cup mirin
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup japanese daikon radish, grated
- 3 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp. sesame oil, to taste
Heat soy sauce, mirin and sugar until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and cool. Add lemon juice, sesame seed oil and daikon to cooled sauce. To cook batayaki style, marinate your meat and vegetables for a minimum of 20 minutes. Heat skillet or grill and melt butter on grill. Cook meat and vegetables in butter.
