Guava chicken - a great alternative to the typical teriyaki chicken! Amazing recipe for Guava Chicken! Perfect for hibachi on a summer day, picnic or any occassion!
- 5 lbs. Boneless, Skinless Chicken Thighs
- 1/2 cup Ketchup
- 1/2 cup Aloha shoyu
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 1/2 cup Oyster Sauce
- ¼ Tbsp. Chinese Five Spice
- 1 tsp. Hawaiian Salt
- 1 Clove Garlic
- 1 Can Frozen Guava Juice Concentrate
Defrost Guava Juice Concentrate. Whisk all ingredients together in large bowl. Place all of the chicken in the bowl to get marinade coated over chicken.
Soak chicken in Ziploc bag or large container overnight. Make sure to use all of the marinade! Marinade for 24 hours minimum. Cook chicken over hibachi or gas grill.
When cooking chicken, use the marinade to “baste” the chicken for maximum flavor!
