  • 5 lbs. chicken breast or thighs, boneless
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 Tbsp.garlic salt
  • 2 Tbsp. pepper
  • 2-3 pkgs. Japanese panko bread crumbs
  • Oil for deep frying

Katsu sauce:

  • 2 cups ketchup
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire (or more to desired taste)
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. honey (optional)
  • grated ginger/garlic (optional)

Cooking Process:

Heat oil on stove top on medium temperature.

Set-up three bowls, one for flour, one for egg &  one for panko.

Season both sides of chicken with garlic salt and pepper.  Dredge the chicken in flour. Holding the corner of the chicken, dip in egg.  Roll in panko to make sure it is evenly breaded.  Fry for about 4 minutes on each side, depending on thickness.  Drain on paper towels.


Mix all ingredients and set aside.
