If you own an ice cream maker, better yet, this can be done in 20 minutes !! Still doing Pineapple Sherbet the old fashioned way, is worth the wait.
- 4 c. buttermilk
- 1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained
- 1 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
In a mixing bowl; combine all ingredients well. Transfer into freezer tray. Freeze 1 hour. Remove from freezer; stir well. Return to freezer 1-2 hours. Optional to transfer mixture into ice cream maker, churn as directed for 20 minutes.
