Aunty's Lilikoi Meatloaf

Try this ono local style meatloaf by Aunty Lilikoi using a lilikoi wasabi mustard in the meatloaf as well as the glaze!

  • 3 lbs. Ground Beef 1 cup chopped onion
  • ½ cup chopped celery
  • 1 tbsp. minced garlic
  • 1 ½ tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. dried basil
  • ½ tsp. dried thyme
  • ½ tsp. ground black pepper
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 1 ½ tsp. Aunty Lilikoi Passion Wasabi Mustard
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 box stuffing mix—any flavor


Cooking Process:

In a large mixing bowl, combine first 14 ingredients and mix thoroughly. Transfer the mixture to a 9 inch x 5 inch x 3 inch loaf pan; shape into a loaf. Combine Glaze ingredients in a small bowl; stir to blend. Spread glaze evenly over the top of the meat loaf.  Bake at 375 for 60-70 minutes.


Note: I have found that forming the meatloaf on a flat baking or cookie sheet allows for the meatloaf to cook more thoroughly in less time.  Baking in a deep dish loaf pan usually takes longer, especially if the pan is metal bacause the metal actually deflects heat resulting in longer baking times.
