A very common island sauce to go along side grilled shrimp, chicken or fish. There are many versions of this recipe. This Chili Manog Sauce is one of my favorites. Very simple, very clean flavors.

Ingredients: Print   Add to cart
US Metric
  • ¼ c. peanut oil
  • ¼ c. Thai chili garlic paste
  • 1 T fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 T each mirin sake
  • 2 TB fresh lemon juice
  • Pinch salt, freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 c. ripe mango, chopped

Cooking Process:

In a blender, combine all ingredients except mango. Process until smooth.

how to serve:

For service: Stir in mangoes. Makes 1 ½ cups. Serve along side grilled shrimp, chicken or fish. Serves 3-4.
