  • 2 tsp. sesame seed oil
  • 1 TB fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 stalks green onion, chopped, whites and greens separated
  • 6 c. chicken broth
  • 1 piece chung choi (salted, pickled turnip) soaked; drained, finely chopped
  • Garnish:
  • chopped fresh cilantro

Cooking Process:

In a saucepan over medium heat, saute ginger, garlic and whites of onion in oil. Add broth and chung choi; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer 10-15 minutes.

how to serve:

Garnish with greens of onion and cilantro. Serves 4.
