  • 1 pkg. active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 4 Tbs. sugar
  • 2 cups biscuit mix
  • 2 tsp. ground cinnamon

Cooking Process:

In a large bowl of electric mixer, dissolve yeast in the water. Add 2 Tbs. of the sugar and 2 cups of the biscuit mix, beat for 3 minutes at medium speed. Stir in remaining biscuit mix; mix until smooth. Cover, let rise until doubled.  Grease an 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2-inch loaf pan. Stir batter down by beating 25 strokes. Combine the remaining 2 Tbs. sugar and the cinnamon;  knead  lightly into the  dough. Spread  dough evenly in prepared pan;  smooth top of  loaf with floured fingers. Cover; let rise until doubled.  Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Bake for 40 minutes or until done. Remove from pan and let cool.  Makes 12 servings.
