Looking for some good Italian food Il Lupino in the Royal Hawaiian Center can be found on the bottom floor right next to the stage at the Royal Grove. They have a wide variety of wines, a nice bar and some great Italian food. Some of their signature Italian dishes incorporate local ingredients.

Adapted from a recipe I enjoyed while staying at a Bread & Breakfast spot in Sonoma, this version incorporates all the favorite flavors of the islands, pineapple, coconut and macadamia nuts (I ran out of macadamia nuts so I used walnuts today). Make big batches to share with your neighbors

There is simply a deliciousness about oven dishes made with mayonnaise.  Topped onto fish or seafood is wonderful. I had a similar special of the day lunch at a local restaurant, that served their version on top of a bed of garlic pasta. Rich and flavored with local seasoning, this is a popular no fuss dish.

I was craving poke and kamaboko one day so I decided to throw a bunch of stuff together and came up with this delicious poke... great for those that don't like raw fish.  I made it with kamaboko (fish cake), imitation crab, sea weed, fried and shredded aburage and smoked prepared tako.
